Sandra Catalán received the B.Sc. degree, M.Sc. Degree in Intelligent Systems and Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2012, 2013 and 2018, respectively, from the Universitat Jaume I of Castelló, Spain. Her current research is focused on energy saving on moderate-scale clusters and low-power processors, parallel algorithms for numerical linear algebra and asymmetric architectures. She has also been a visiting researcher at the Foundations of Cognitive Computing group at IBM Research—Zurich, Switzerland, at the University of Texas in Austin, USA, and the Parallel Programming Models group of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) in Barcelona, Spain. She also worked at BSC in collaboration with Fujitsu in a math library migration project.
Nowadays, she is an assistant professor at Universidad Complutense in Madrid.
