Juan Carlos is a PhD. Student at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and also works as a research assistant at Technical University of Madrid (UPM).

He achieved his MsC in Telecommunication Engineering at Public University of Navarre (UPNA) in 2013. He also achieved a MsC in Electronic Systems Engineering at Technical University of Madrid (UPM) in 2014, where he was granted with a scholarship to develop his Master Thesis in the Electronic Engineering Department (DIE-UPM) by the Spanish Ministry of Education. His Master Thesis focused on a full power consumption characterization of a high enterprise server.

Juan Carlos has been granted a predoctoral fellowship by Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), to develop his PhD thesis titled Rapid Runtime Power and Performance Profiling of Large Scale Applications.

His main area of research is power consumption and performance prediction/modeling for energy efficiency in Data Centers.
