
Álvaro Corrochano López
Álvaro graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Complutense University of Madrid in June 2023. His thesis, titled “Application of Deep Learning Techniques for the Diagnosis of Neurodegenerative Diseases,”is available here.
In the same year, he also completed a Professional Master’s Degree in Productivity and Personal Development at the Camilo José Cela University, while simultaneously undertaking a Machine Learning internship at Thales DIS.
Álvaro also obtained a Master’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Complutense University of Madrid. His Master’s thesis, titled “Evaluation of Specific Design Accelerators in Apple Silicon for General-Purpose Applications,” is available here.
He is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science Engineering at the Complutense University of Madrid. His thesis is titled “Optimization of Artificial Intelligence Libraries on RISC-V Architectures through SIMD Parallelism Exploitation.“
Since May 2024, Álvaro has been working on three different research projects with the ArTeCS Group at the Complutense University of Madrid. In this role, he focuses on the High Performance Computing (HPC) area, utilizing technologies such as RISC-V architecture, Apple Silicon, embedded systems, and machine learning models.
